Fuel injection manifold

Added a couple pics to Photobucket. Finished the stack bell castings. These will not be visible since they are inside the plenum.

Finished stack machining for EFI injectors and made adaptors for Hilborn injector nozzles. First finished manifold is destined for a Bonneville race car with the Hilborn injection parts.

Ordered some Mustang 4.6 plenum parts and hope to adapt them for my use. Primarily the throttle body and upper plenum.

Had to make a timing cover suitable for mounting a Hilborn injection pump and also fit an existing 8ba with a modified oil pan. Not finished, but got a good casting made. Put pics on Photobucket in a new album named Timing cover. :?

Ray, that is exciting stuff your doing there. Looking at that cover, my first question is "What does the pan look like? Awsome work!

Not exactly sure having not seen it, but I know how it fits. Guy modified his timing cover to extend down and carry a normal lip seal. A simple hoop shape was added to a de-nosed pan to seal against the curved bottom of the cover. I made this cover to retrofit his modified pan and included provision for a flat faced flange pan surface.

I have been waiting for the update Ray and as usual a beauty, thanks. Can't see how any oil can find its way out the front.

Finished the timing cover. Now working on the plenum castings. Tried an outside foundry, but they do primarily green sand casting and the result didn't measure up. Making them in my garage to get what I want.

A couple pics on Photobucket.

A bit more progress. Got the lower plenum half machined. Working on the fuel system plumbing. Put a couple pics on Photobucket in a new album titled Manifold.

Finished the fuel log and oil fill. One throttle linkage arm to go and it's done. Except for the EFI version. Posted a couple more pics on Photobucket.
